Anna McMurran
What I’m About:
I’m a graphic designer drawn to the ways we make sense of the world visually. Curious and adaptable, I explore across print production, digital layouts, and hands-on methods like risograph, painting, printmaking, and collage. I love the challenge of breaking down complex ideas and reframing them in ways that feel clear, thoughtful, and approachable. Each project is a chance to learn new techniques and push my process forward.
I have a strong eye for hierarchy and structure, especially in typography and layout, there’s something deeply satisfying about turning complexity into intuitive, human-centered design. I believe good design doesn’t have to shout: sometimes it’s bold, sometimes it’s subtle, but always purposeful.
Beyond design, I draw inspiration from travel, time outdoors with my dog Frannie, and the people who keep me grounded. These off-screen experiences keep my work honest, adaptable, and rooted in connection.
At the end of the day, my goal is to create design that’s intentional, crafted with care, and built to resonate, whether through a brand identity, a publication, or a visual system. I approach each project with curiosity, clarity, and the excitement of discovering what’s next. I’ve always had a strong eye for hierarchy and structure, especially when it comes to typography and layout. There’s something satisfying about making order out of complexity. I enjoy taking a lot of moving parts and turning them into something that feels intuitive, clear, and human. I’m also a firm believer that good design doesn’t have to shout to be effective. Sometimes it makes a bold statement, sometimes it’s a subtle nudge, but either way, I want the work I create to resonate on some level, even in the smallest moments.
